The product is defective and not the same as the photo but a poor quality product.
Had to send back. An ohmmeter is used to check that the defrost contacts remain open during the defrost cycle. Also note that you are not getting a Sankyo OEM timer made in Indonesia as shown in the photo, but a Supco timer made in China. This was to replace my last Supco timer which ran for about a year before I had intermittent defrost cycles that turned my ice into a solid block. I will stick with OEM timers in the future.
