Look elsewhere for a replacement! I installed this thermostat in our ed5vhexvb01 hot tub a month ago. No matter where I put it, it doesn't reliably regulate the fridge temperature and either freezes or warms up the food in the fridge. I have checked the position of the probe and it is set correctly. It seems that after closing the contacts do not open. I do not recommend this product!

I wish there was a description of the opening and closing temperature points, but that's not important. I put it in a working freezer for about 30 minutes and the contacts closed with continuity. When warming up, the contacts opened as expected. My existing thermostat turned out to be fine, but this purchase was worth the purchase at a reasonable price. My next purchase was a defrost timer which solved my problem.

Ordered the first one in April 2019 when the freeze coil froze. worked 6 months. Ordered a second one in September 2019. The second just failed (May 2020). So if you plan on unloading your fridge every six months, use this part. I gave two stars for the price but I just ordered a $21 factory part. If a factory part gives me a year, even that is worth the difference in price. If a factory part fails after six months I'll update my review to say maybe I'm just a terrible fridge repair lover.
