Review on 🐾 Geeni Smart Home Pet and Baby Monitor: 1080p Wireless WiFi Camera with Motion and Sound Alert (Pastel Blue) by Morgan Gilmore

We use these monitors for our children's bedrooms, not specifically for toddlers (my youngest is a year and a half) so we don't use motion alerts. The product is great when it works. Compared to other Geenis models, it has a rather narrow range of motion. We had to place it high against the wall to be able to see into the crib, which also required running an extension cord as the cord is only 6ft long. For my daughter's room we had to mount it at the top of her wall to cover the room completely and even then the camera can't capture everything because if you lift the screen too far the housing will block the camera. My biggest problem is connectivity. Seems these things randomly turn off and require a manual (physical) reset. This means that in the middle of the night the camera turns off from time to time for no reason and the only way to fix this is to go to the kid's room, physically turn it off and start over. I also often had to "delete" the camera via the app and reconfigure it as a new camera. I've made this 5 times for one in my youngest's room and 3 times in my daughter's room and I've only had these things for a few months. It would probably be better to get a different model for my daughter's room, but I'll probably just refrain from geeni products in the future. The app is fine as said, nothing can be reset in the app. The movement function is also a bit cumbersome and takes some getting used to. The biggest pluses of this particular camera are pretty good video quality (including night vision), a cool two-way talk feature (which we really only use to tell the kids it's time to go downstairs to eat) and the Music function comes in handy as a last resort when you need something to soothe a half-sleeping baby to get him/her back to sleep. .Not the worst product but definitely disappointing at times.
