Review on 🌑 Premium Graywind Roller Shades & Blinds: Explore 100% Blackout Fabric Samples by Steve Linquist

When I first saw this shade at Revain I was very interested but a bit hesitant to set it up online without even dealing with a Greywind seller in China speak. However, I continued because I really liked the sound of their product. With the help of an email from Graywind, I chose a fabric, a custom width and length, and also decided to install a motor on the left end of the curtain body. After I placed the order, I received a confirmation from Graywind that included very detailed information about my order. I then had to confirm the specs were correct before they proceeded with my order. My custom lampshade was assembled and shipped from China in less than 3 weeks from order to delivery via FedEx. The order was packed very securely and delivered without damage. The Graywind people were very helpful before and after I placed my order. They sent me 2 sets of fabric samples which I paid a few dollars for but was refunded for the samples when I placed my order. Setting the hue physically was very easy. After carefully installing the hanging brackets over my window, all I had to do was snap the lampshade body into the spring-loaded mounts. I then connected the hood, put two AA batteries in the remote control and tested the hood's up/down movement. This worked great, except the upper and lower bounds weren't exactly where I wanted them to be. At first I had trouble setting boundaries. So I emailed Greywind. They responded within hours and said I had to remove the old limits before I could set the new limits. After I did this, the new limits were set immediately. The next setup step was to connect the Shadow to Wi-Fi. I first downloaded the Tuya app for my iPhone but I'm having trouble getting my shadow online with it. Then I tried the Smart Life app and it connected without any problems. I also connected it to Google Home. I can say "Ok Google, curtain up" to open it. Voice commands also work to close it or stop at a certain percentage of the way down. As an unexpected treat, I was able to create a procedure in Google Home that automatically raises the shade half an hour after sunrise and lowers it half an hour after sunset, depending on my geographic location. I could fine tune this time over time, but the fact of the matter is that it works very well. What I didn't quite understand was the remote control. He seemed rather thin and fragile. It fell off the table about a meter and the front part came off. Luckily I was able to use it again. In fact, I'll probably use voice commands and schedules more than the remote. However, I was concerned that it might break as I might need it in the future to reset restrictions or change some other setup details. I emailed Graywind my concerns about the remote control and they quickly responded that they would send me a replacement. Overall I am very happy with the wing and hope it will last a long time. I am also very impressed with Graywind's quick turnaround time and their excellent customer service. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
