First, these are quality connectors. But as another commenter said, you have a chance of getting it right because you don't pull the pins back out (like you can with Dupont connectors). And I couldn't find any instructions anywhere. Not even on YouTube. It seems like a huge oversight to assume that only people who have used them before will buy them. If it helps by trial and error, all the metal tabs in front of the ferrules are important. So if you deviate by even 1mm you are bending what the metal needs to snap into place. Be careful with that. If you look inside the connector, you will see a black notch sticking out on one side. This is where the "opening" or "bottom" of the metal should line up. Hope that helps. Taking off a star for destroying my first plug after finding out and having to order more.
