Perfect support for medium weight following a knee sprain/injury. I'm ordering another pair so I can wash one and wear the other. They are not as thick as regular knee pads but are a little thicker than heavy tights. I pulled my quads and hamstrings over and behind my knee, walked on crutches for a month, and then started limping slowly on my own. The knee was really sloppy and my regular knee brace wasn't enough. He was still too swollen to wear traditional compression stockings and NO ONE likes to wear those! These supportive leggings are easy to put on and take off, washable and offer great full leg support, just what I needed. At first I just wore it on my injured leg, but after a few weeks I shifted most of my weight to my healthy leg. it started to hurt a little, so now I wear bandages on both legs every day. (Also, my "good" knee was replaced and I still have arthritis. I'm 72!) They'll stretch to the top of your thigh and have an elastic band inside that keeps them in place and in place and place remains. I'm 5'9, 165, average build and ordered LARGE so they work great. Every day I wear them under shorts or a skirt, but I wear them under baggy jeans or sweatpants and that's fine too. I highly recommend.
