Very brittle cheap metal that can be removed with the supplied Alan wrenches or even the right size star nut. The gold kit I ordered had different shades of gold in the kit and the constant removing of the screws made it difficult to pick the right color and size to fit. The head of a screw came loose and I had to drill and modify a screw hole in the frame to be able to remove the stuck screw and clamp another screw into the frame. I wouldn't recommend throwing away half the screws because they were stripped or screwed in incorrectly.
