These stands are superb. I ordered a set of adjustable stands from another brand and they were too weak and flexible with my 18lb Polk bookshelf speakers. No matter how hard I tightened each screw and bolt, they moved. So I decided to try these as they were non-adjustable and looked solid, and they IS. The base and platform are large, which makes them incredibly stable, and they're made of glass, so they're perfectly flat and level, which also adds to their stability. Although my speakers are a little wider and a little deeper than the platforms, I don't feel the need to use sticky nails, straps, or anything other than gravity to hold my speakers in place. However, I added a couple of speaker isolation pads (Search: Hudson Hi-Fi) to the top of each stand to improve sound quality and keep the speakers from shifting in the event of an impact. All in all these shelves are perfect and I'm ordering at least one more set now. And by the way, these racks are very well packaged for shipping, arrived with no defects and are incredibly easy to set up. Five stars all day.
