I was looking for the best way to store homemade bread without plastic wrap or bags. It seems like the choice is between stale bread or moldy bread and cloth bags looked like an alternative. Two loaves of bread side by side, both dried at the same speed, the second test showed the same result. The only way to keep bread fresh for more than 24 hours was to put it in a partially closed zippered bag and cover it with a cloth bag. Did the cloth bag have any purpose other than to hide the bread? Not recommended.
