Affordable and compact mini-plug with built-in HomeKit support

A few years ago, I started my home automation journey with a bunch of Wemo plugs and light switches. It was a great start, but when I switched to HomeKit I needed a different solution. Wemo introduced their HomeKit Bridge, which served as a temporary solution until I found a way to inexpensively migrate to native HomeKit. that the ports offer compatibility with HomeKit as well as Alexa, Echo, Google Assistant at a very affordable price. I didn't hesitate to order 2 packs first and then 3 more packs of plugs to upgrade my HomeKit system. The Meroos plugs are very inexpensive and work fully as advertised in relation to HomeKit. The plugs are ETL certified to UL STD 60730-1 and 498 for use in a 120VAC/15A outlet. The 3 pack is neatly packaged with 3 end caps, Meroos and HomeKit rails. Reference photos of the package contents and the plug installed in the socket. Installing HomeKit is easy. Plug your device into a power outlet, wait for the device to initialize (the LED on the side will flash green and amber alternately), open the HomeKit app, select Add a device and point your iPhone at the QR code at the top of the device. From there, HomeKit will complete the installation. See screenshots of HomeKit installation. Suggest that you first accept the default HomeKit device name until you've decided which physical room you're going to use the plug-in in, and then rename it in the HomeKit app. Siri uses the link to both the room and the device. So "hey sir, turn on the light in the living room" can be distinguished from "hey sir, turn on the light in the bedroom". Both will be called "Lampa" but differ in their number. It's also recommended to download the Meroos app as HomeKit doesn't currently have the ability to update the firmware on your devices. The Meroos app manages the firmware update process as shown in the attached screenshots. I recommend the Meroos Mini connector for those just getting started with HomeKit as well as those looking for an affordable upgrade.
