I haven't noticed any noticeable difference with them. It could be because I had a lot of moldy, dusty stuff in a closed seasonal home that needed cleaning urgently. I didn't smell anything from them and they take up very little space so I guess they can't do any harm. I noticed the biggest difference after getting rid of things that had been dusty for decades and who knows what else. You can help a lot. No more musty smell of dust! However, I cleaned and cleaned a lot. One note: it would be better if they included hooks for all bags.
