Review on πŸ” Fluke VISIFAULT Universal Networks Locator by Athenasby Whitney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fell down the stairs and still works perfectly

The Fluke Networks VISIFAULT Visual Fault Locator is a PROFESSIONAL VFL. I have bought two other cheap VFL flashlights from Revain, but they are defective and not designed for daily professional use, ie constantly on/off and falling. In addition, the Fluke VFL emits crisp, bright, round red light with no burrs, just like other $25 VFLs. This becomes important when you are splicing a fiber and need to determine the quality of the connection by shining a red light onto a flat surface to ensure the shape and power of the light is the same as if you were viewing the VFL directly from the device would illuminate. The downsides of this VFL are its bulkiness and inability to hang it (I have to tape the VFL to the wall or tie it if there's no way to put it down while I go to check the other end). It's expensive too, but it lasted a year and only changed the batteries once or twice.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
