I bought this for my 14 month old baby. He's constantly crumpling blankets to make a pillow, so I figured he was old enough to have a safe pillow. Yes, it's small and yes, it's pretty flat, but it's designed for babies in their crib. I wouldn't want a fluffier pillow than this. I didn't know I would have to buy him a pillowcase; This is the only downside, but I think I probably should have realized it. I'll probably only make one as the fabric is very spiky. All in all a good and safe choice for your little one. The padding is just enough to be soft and provide good head support without the head sinking too much into it.
