Poor design and/or workmanship. The rivets that attach the handles to the briefcase have sharp edges on the inside of the case that will tear the surface of the artwork placed in the case. If you are careful, you can cover the sharp edges of the rivets with tape or protect the work with cardboard or mats, which will limit the available space in the case. Note: Don't be fooled; The rivets appear smooth on the outside of the case. Inside the case they are dangerous for your art. The 17" x 22" Classic Red Rope Briefcases from Star Products are made with those same terribly sharp-edged rivets inside the case.
