Always cool to the touch

I love it! I was a bit dubious at first, I gotta admit. A blanket that cools? Yeah right. But I decided maybe it was worth a shot and I'm really glad I did. I struggle to sleep without a blanket, which is problematic come summertime with local temperatures that rise enough to make a normal blanket stifling but never quite enough to warrant installing an air conditioner. This is the perfect middle ground.I was pleasantly surprised by the color. I expected it to be a duller, more greyish shade of blue which would have been fine, but it's a really gentle hue with an almost purple wash. Aesthetically, it's simple and neutral while still being very pretty. It's also got a lovely, shiny trim that is very well done - no warping or bubbling and the stitching is very tidy.My one small gripe is the softness. The top surface of the blanket is very silky smooth and feels great, but the bottom side feels like a somewhat scratchy t-shirt. It's not particularly uncomfortable, though I think it could be a bit problematic for someone more sensitive to textures.Overall, I'm very pleased. And hooked! I can't believe I overlooked cooling blankets for as long as I did.

Pros
  • The blanket is perfect for hot climates, where traditional blankets may be too warm.
Cons
  • May smell unpleasant when new
