I love this blanket, but there is a bit of work that needs to be done after receiving it. Initially it sheds A LOT. For me, washing in cold water and then 6 or 7 cycles on air only in the dryer (SO much lint caught in the lint catcher after each cycle) did the trick. After that it's extremely cozy, warm, and has a good weight. I have a 1940's wool blanket from the US Navy that my grandpa gave me, and this has a similar, comforting weight -- albeit not as heavy -- but it keeps me warm on colder winter nights watching TNG on the couch.Bottom line: if I received the blanket as it is today after overcoming the shedding, it'd easily be 5 stars. There's some work that needs to be done, but given the price point, 4 stars seems appropriate.
