It looks like the product photos. The owls are bright and the wavy edges are comfortable to the touch. It's a bit flimsy but it was what I was hoping for as our little girl doesn't like her blankets to be too heavy. The weight of the blanket does not affect the quality. The quality seems to be good. The taupe background color sometimes looks like dirt or wet spots, but that's part of the design. It seems to me that against the background of ivory it just catches the eye differently. However, she is happy, so we are happy. I would buy it again.
