BRIEFS: Stay away from this humidifier until it's internally upgraded. This humidifier works well. It's quiet enough on low settings to be barely audible at night, and shuts off once desired humidity levels are reached and the tank refills easily. The design is nice, although much of the interior is empty, a waste of space. It blends in with the surroundings quite well. However, it is poorly designed. There are open holes in the top of the case (see image below) that allow the PCB moisture sensor to work. Unfortunately, these holes also allow MOISTURE DIRECT onto the board. This resulted in the fan pins on my block CORROCTING IN ONE MONTH (see image below) and the fan stopped working so I had to replace the entire block (at least it has a 5 year warranty). That moisture can get onto the circuit board so easily is such an incomprehensible omission. It would be so easy to extend the humidity sensor wiring to allow the rest of the board to be moved. When replacing the block I taped the exposed fan pins on the board which will hopefully protect them from moisture. I've attached a picture of the corroded fan pins. My replacement box also turns the fan off randomly sometimes, but I think I fixed that by forcing the fan into the board with some force.
