We have 2 elderly cats with arthritis and kidney disease who had difficulty getting in and out of their high walled box. You'll like this loaf pan a lot more! It's spacious, easy to get in and out of, and because it's flat I think we also save on trash. One problem is the material. The plastic under the putty has a rough texture and is difficult to clean. We clean her box thoroughly, every time we remove the urine from the box we wipe the bottom of the box with alcohol and cotton pads where the clumped dirt came into contact with the plastic. I've only had this box a few days and the bottom is a mess. Because of the textured material, the stains don't come out when I rub them. All in all good idea, bad material. Unfortunately I won't see that for much longer.
