I was so encouraged by my gym progress and development of my upper body, that I wanted to give these y-back stringer tanks a try, as I've seen a few guys wearing them at the gym and they always look great. However, after getting these and trying them on, I realized that they are made for a very specific body type, and are completely unforgiving to anyone outside of that shape.Basically, it doesn't matter how muscular or fit your chest, shoulder, and arms are. If the lower half of your torso is anything larger than a perfect "V" with a narrow waist and six-pack abs, these tanks aren't going to look good on you. The pictures make it seem like they're cut a little loose around the lower torso, but they are actually narrow and tapered on the bottom half.I put one on, and from the chest up, looked fantastic, but since I haven't completely worked my pandemic-year love handles off yet, from the chest down I ended up looking like twenty pounds of crap stuffed into a ten pound bag.I'm keeping these, as they will provide the additional motivation to work off those final pesky pounds around my middle, and once I get to the point where I look good wearing one of these tanks, I'll know that I've reached my goal.Aside from all of that, they are very soft, stretchy and well made tanks. If they'd been just a little more forgiving for those of us without perfect body shapes, they'd be ideal!
