>> DOES THE JOB for in-ear headphones

SIDE SLEEPING COMFORT Panasonic ErgoFit eartips).> However, the Ururtm is "on-cushion" eartips (depending on which ear I have on the pillow ) uncomfortable For me. For you, comfort can depend on your pillow, the shape of your ear, and your sensitivity. Maybe you don't have a problem. TO UPDATE. After several months of nightly use, I can now comfortably sleep with the Ururtm in my ear on the pillow side (and the other earbud in the other ear). COMFORT FOR BACK SLEEP OR GENERAL USE > If you're not used to wearing headphones for 6-8 hours at a time, you may have a hard time adjusting to sleeping through headphones all night. It can take several weeks for your ear canal to "strengthen" enough to wear any earplugs for a long time. Quality earbuds come in multiple sizes and often multiple types of padding as well. To minimize size, the ear tip is an integral part of the Ururtm Sleeping Headphones (and has a slightly different design than the ear tip used in standard headphones) so the ear tip is not interchangeable or interchangeable. but not small enough for children. In fact, the diameter of the earbud body is large, so it's probably not comfortable for children.> On the other hand, the small cushions also mean that the earbuds don't fit medium-sized or larger ear canals as well. For most wearers, the earbuds are likely to fall out of the ear occasionally during moderate activity, but that shouldn't be a problem if the earbuds are only used for sleeping. It would be better to use them only for sleeping and use another brand/model for general use. NOISE ISOLATION > Noise isolation is passive, not active, meaning it only acts as a physical barrier. I feel the isolation isn't as good as my Panasonic headphones, at least partly because the pad is a bit small for me. (To a certain extent, the tighter the fit, the better the insulation.)> So the Ururtm Sleeping earbuds are probably not the best choice for air travel. For plane travel (and similar situations), I'd use ACTIVE noise-cancelling headphones (which should cost between $50 and $250). But beware, most headphones that claim noise cancellation (including some very expensive headphones) actually only offer passive noise isolation or add "white noise" and no actual active noise cancellation. Note that Active Noise Cancellation is only effective for quiet, constant, or repetitive noises (e.g. airplane or car engines) and NOT when children are crying or someone else's music is disturbing. Unfortunately, my 'travel' headphones are no longer available on Amzn, so there's no point in listing the make and model number. OTHER COMMENTS > Sound quality is good > Ururtm Sleeping Headphones have a microphone (for use with cell phones) but work great with my basic MP3 player > Earwax can clog tiny speakers which can be a big problem for people with a lot of gray ears. Keep your ears clean. Clean the earbuds frequently (just wipe with a cloth). Other larger and particularly expensive earbuds often have special systems (even detachable, cleanable, swappable screens) to deal with earwax, but the ultra-compact design of the Ururtm earbuds exacerbates the earwax problem. In this case, the sound is muffled and after a few hours the headphones should cause more irritation. Therefore, you need to carefully insert the headphones directly into your ear. MY USE > I only use the earbuds for my "cushionless ear pillow" which means I have to change my earbuds at night when I turn over - which of course I wanted to avoid when I bought earbuds for sleeping. But (after a few months of using the Ururtm headphones) if I forget and switch sides without changing headphones (and therefore the earbud is in my ear from the side of the pillow), at least I don't wake up with it a sore ear more > In fact, I occasionally have pain from an injury that keeps me up at night. I've found listening to old audiobooks, which I enjoy (I suggest Tom Baudette's An American Odyssey — because Baudette's voice can put a grizzly to sleep), is enough of a distraction to take my mind off the pain.
