I ordered 4 of these semi-recessed lights for the foyer and hallway. I love the vintage/industrial/crafty look and combine them with Edison bulbs. BENEFITS: • High quality feel (durable metal and thick glass) • Easy installation • Good packaging (all 4 lamps arrived in perfect shape) • Exterior finish • Small size overwhelms an already small space (e.g. our hallway) not • Very affordable (just over $20) CONS: • Oily bronze finish scratches easily • Wattage decals are on the underside of the black metal component you face up Overall a really great light. It feels bold and premium and the look is really sophisticated with a modern farmhouse/craftsman feel. Any installation difficulties we had were due to the way the lighting was set up in our home, not the fixtures themselves (one light box was not flush with the ceiling, the other light box had an oversized hole in the drywall , there wasn't enough space around it). screwing a metal plate from the lamp) - mounting it on a properly prepared ceiling light box took 10-15 minutes (including dismantling the old lamp). scratched during installation - one scratched a little trying to peel off the sticker indicating power supply. It's not a big issue for us, I'd probably give it 4.5 stars, but I can round up because, especially for the price, it's a fantastic light and value.
