Review on Set Of 6 Aquasana Glass Water Bottles With BPA-Free Lids, 18 Oz Each by Phil Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So glad I bought these

I needed a container for the leftover mix I have each time I blender a smoothie to drink. I had purchased plastic drink containers for this purpose, but the smallest I could find was 32 oz (which meant half was unfilled air), and the cleaning was always difficult. I only wanted to buy one or two glass bottles, but looked everywhere and this six pack was really the only option I could find, so paid the price which seemed to be a premium for glass jars.Firstly, they work exactly as I hoped with the smoothie leftovers. Tastes great, so nice to handle the cool glass, and cleanup is a breeze. They are very solid - almost jar like - and look great. But I'm actually so glad I got the six pack since I use them every time I have a liquid refrigeration need. For instance, I bought a case of the 24 oz Arizona Iced Tea cans, and will immediately fill an an Aquasana bottle with 18 oz, to toss in the fridge and then have the manageable 6 oz left to drink from the can. Or I'll buy 2 large Café Lattes at Starbucks, and put one in an Aquasana bottle for a convenient and delicious Iced Latte the next day. It seems in the few months I've had them I usually have 3 or so working in the fridge at any given time.I have not used as water refills yet. I have my favorite plastic bottle for the gym which holds more, fills easily with ice, and can take a beating. And for my water needs around the house I typically either pour glasses from a gallon pitcher I refill and keep in the fridge, or drink poland spring bottled water . However, I think I'll dedicate one of the Aquasana bottles just for water and leave it in the fridge, and use it to take to the car each day --- just the right size and that feel of cold, solid glass is unbeatable.Others mentioned some problems with the caps, but I haven't had any at all. They are easy to spin on and off, and totally leak-proof. And the bottles fit in the lower rack dishwasher easily for simple cleaning (again, a big advantage over plastic refill bottles which melt on lower rack sometimes but don't fit on upper rack.)Even if you don't think you need these, buy them. You'll find more than enough ways to use them. And they fit easily on any shelf in the fridge.

Pros
  • ‎10.4 x 8.5 x 7.1 inches
Cons
  • The glass material may not be suitable for use in certain situations, such as outdoor activities where the bottles may be exposed to extreme temperatures or rough terrain
