You're looking at this because trying to remove it broke the original. Not your fault. They grow old and brittle. It's a well-made replacement, and for less than $9, it's not a bad deal considering the cost of doing business, shipping, etc. You may not need to cut a wire on your old one. Take a knife or tiny thin screwdriver and pry the side latch out of the old one. It can break, so what, it's already there. You can then carefully do the same with that one and snap it onto the old cable (having first cleaned the connector on the old cable). Thus, no splicing or soldering is required. Much luck.
