I recently had shoulder surgery My left arm was unusable and had to live in a sling for 6 weeks It didn't catch the stitches or open the cuts after they went away (of course I was very careful in those areas) We all know what it's like to have that itch that just won't go away. This back scratcher works great! The nails aren't metallic or too sharp, they're pretty much right on the mark (probably use a triangular file to sharpen them a bit if they aren't). Not spicy enough for you). The only thing I can fault is the rolling massage ball. It's loud but at the same time I ignore it as I like the feel of it rolling over my aching muscles around my elbow and forearm, doesn't replace a real massage and doesn't work on the large muscles but it does help me clench the muscles Trapezius, arms and shoulders to relieve tension.
