I bought these sponges once and have not returned to another type of sponge. I often threw away other sponges because they smelled horribly after a few days. (And microwaving them didn't work; the inside of the microwave smelled like sponges.) These scrubbing pads don't smell at all, even after a week. They have a scrubber on one side and a very soft side on the other and are very economical. I usually take a pack of 24. Definitely a good buy.
