This is my first year with an above ground pool (Intex 14 ft). I was at a point in time where it was too cold to swim but not cold enough to close (water consistently below 64 degrees). I was keeping the chemistry correct but was having problems keeping up with the leaves. I decided to go ahead an install the pool cover to keep the leaves out. No matter how tight I would make the line around the pool, I could not keep the cover on for more than 2 days. I finally did a search and found these clips. I was skeptical that they would make a difference but purchased enough to place two clips per pool section (28 clips total) . Once the clips were in place, my pool cover remained in place. I closed it today and am confident the pool cover with the clips will survive the winter. I do not know how you could get the pool cover to stay on without these clips. Highly, Highly, Highly recommended.
