Review on Fulton FW32000101 F2 Two-Speed Trailer Winch with Strap - 3200 lb. Load Capacity - Silver/Black - Universal Size by Fred Griffin

After reading previous reviews of this item I wasn't sure if it would work, especially the one that mentioned it replaced a 1600 lb winch a 3200 pound winch. My boat weighs over 4500 pounds so a strong winch is required. After researching and interviewing a few trailer shop techs, I decided to order it. Since this winch has a short 'trailing edge' at the rear, my trailer shop ended up installing it as 2 new holes had to be drilled in the trailer's nose post to mount the 2 rear bolts. My trailer specialist also clarified the previous question about the payload; He said because it's a 2 speed winch it has 2 weight classes, one for each speed. He was very impressed with this piece and assured me that it would likely last for many seasons.
