Fluval Prism 2.0 is almost everything I dreamed of for my planted aquarium: - bright but tiny (easy to hide) - color and brightness adjustment - fun programmed light cycles (everyone loves the effect of hin and another storm in her tank, and Prism gives you two!) - tolerable spread of light (it's a spotlight, not a bay window; great for illuminating small areas of the aquarium) - sensor outside the tank for the remote control (makes my Prism easier to control ) The "Sun" option turned out to be excellent for growing the dwarf carpet "Baby Tears" that I used to struggle with. In just 10 days my previously thawed plants are happily growing and expanding. I plan to add another one to my tank to provide better lighting for other light loving plants. All in all, this is the perfect little light for my needs. If I were to change something, I would add the ability to schedule or something like the Finnex 24/7 program. (But I'm assuming it won't cost $35 in this case.) I'm considering adding a Fluval LED controller to simulate day and night.
