Review on πŸ”‘ VOFONO Self-Programmable Key Fob for Chevy Suburban Tahoe GMC Yukon (2015-2020) with PUSH TO START - Chip Included by Elijah Balzarini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works like clockwork - several times cheaper than at the dealer

Bought a used 2015 Suburban that only had a wireless key fob. The GM dealer wanted $300, the locksmith wanted $170. This VOFONO cost $41 and looked like a much better choice, although the question of do-it-yourself programming arose. The seller categorically stated that this could not be done "at home". As dealers often do, he lied. Programming guides were easy to find online right where VOFONO was stated and the whole process only took about 5 minutes as I had a working key fob. If you do NOT have a working key fob this can still be done but it is a much more tedious process requiring a few extra steps with built in 10 minute delays before the next step. I've been told it's a theft deterrent, the idea of being a thief isn't going to sit and fiddle with your car for 30 or 40 minutes.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
