They look great and are washable
The first day I wore these shoes for a walk it started raining and I got dirt on the sides and part of the upper. No problem. I tied the laces in a bow and tossed them in the washing machine along with the rest of my wet clothes. I hung them out to dry and put them back on two days later and they looked like new.
