You need one size larger than your usual size, especially if you plan to use waterproof socks.
We bought two pairs of these shoes for me and my wife. We used them as hiking shoes and water boots to hike Zion's Narrows and Slot Canyons. We really liked them, especially my wife who wanted a lighter shoe with protection. They drained fairly well and were very useful on strenuous hikes in Zion and Bryce Canyon (Angles Landing, Novajo Trail, etc.). The only thing is that we both had to return a pair of shoes and go a size down from our usual, especially if you plan on wearing waterproof socks. In the end, they worked very well for us.
