I love these little machines, they are versatile and add big impact without taking up a lot of storage space. I have 5 of these projectors. I dont care for the pre loaded designs and purchase all of our digital downloads from AtmosFX ( you will need usb drives, there is no memory card for the mini kit) Now, these are obviously not top of the line and there are no bells & whistles. Thats good for just starting out and wanting to test it out before investing in more expensive machines but I also think it depends on the size of your windows and how bright it is outside of your house at night from street lights, stores etc. The average size of our windows is 28 x 60 or slightly larger, so I find the brightness and picture quality works well for us, even with a street light to the near right of the house. If you have huge picture windows these might not work as well for you. I use the fabric that comes with it but Ive also used white plastic tablecloths from the dollar store without issue. Setup is relatively easy once you’ve played around with it for a bit and figure out the navigation. The directions that come with it are pretty useless in my opinion and Ive just learned on the fly. I am not really good with computers or electronics and Ive managed to purchase digital downloads, load them onto a usb thumb drive and set up the projector without help so if I can do it, you can too 😃
