Review on 🧈 Sweejar Ceramics Butter Keeper Container: Keeping Your Butter Fresh and Spreadable by Justin Miller

Take the right notes.

So what's up? A butter dish with a lid, how difficult can that be? It turns out there are ways for an oil tray to go bad and fail, and this one avoids those mistakes while still looking great! Three areas are essential for the perfection of an oiler: 1.) The good grip of the lid itself. This can be a handle or knob on the top that can also be gripped with wet or oily fingers, or a design on the sides like fish scales etc. 2.) The right size. We recently got one that doesn't have room for a wand unless the lid is in and the oil doesn't hit the rim of the lid, which literally becomes a sticky situation. Or PITA. Not bread. 3.) The bottom needs to have enough "grip" so the whole thing doesn't slide across the counter while you're trying to cut off a stick of butter with one hand. BONUS if it looks good and handles well. Here are the positives: > Sweejar looks great. The curves are just right, the surface is smooth and shiny and (for me) jet black. Accidentally microwave the butter for too long (hehe), the resulting stream of melted water won't flow all over your body. > The lid has a tapered handle at the top that provides positive and safe leverage. You will not accidentally drop it. > There is an unglazed border on the bottom about 1/4" wide that is quite rough so the whole bowl stays in place but doesn't scratch the counter if it slides. .Negatives: Can't think of anything .I wish I had had one like this years ago.
