This beautiful pearl necklace (fancy jasper) was too long for me, so I decided to make it a little shorter. I just cut it 4 beads longer than I wanted; Untie the center knots between the two extra beads on each side (one of which will fall off if you cut it tight) with tweezers to untie the extra beads on each side, then tie the knot again (tie the small ends of rope twice with fabric tape). to twist the threads into a strong thread, and also tweezers ... and patience :), and then smeared some more bars of fabric onto a new small knot, cut off the excess pieces of thread, and now it's PERFECT!
