I hated using my Onkyo receiver's multi-room feature to play music on the patio. I wanted less process to get my Alexa to stream music outside. The thing works and sounds great. However. A disadvantage of this device is the distance over which it is effective when using a Bluetooth connection. Any connected device must be placed very close to the receiver. I tried streaming directly from my phone, but as soon as I got 5 feet away from the device (still in sight) there were audio issues. My music started crackling and jumping. I've moved my Alexa closer to the receiver and that seems to have fixed the issue. Just understand that the distance for this device is VERY limited.
