What you can't see in the picture is that when you pull the strap all the way to use it as a shoulder bag, it actually blocks the opening of the zipper (it's hard to explain but this is a loop, not a long single layer webbing so the loop once extended is pulled over the zipper). The strap is also quite short, especially for a shoulder bag. Was a Christmas present for a teenager so I'm disappointed. Take your $12 elsewhere. EDIT: It's only been 2 days since Christmas and the bracelet is already worn out. I lowered my rating to 2 stars because it's a cute bag, but the quality and the weird short strap just kills the deal.
