I bought two of these to attach to workstations that don't have a suitable place for a hand strap. The product is a metal plate that attaches to a surface (more on this below) with a swivel through which the security lock can be threaded. The hinge also has a Kensington lock slot if you have a cable with a bracket that fits into the lock slot on both ends. The tablet comes in a gray plastic sleeve with a large Kensington logo. As you turn the swivel, you hear metallic clinking everywhere - not a safety issue, but more industrial and a bit rough. The metal plate is attached to the surface with tape and/or screws. The included screws are unidirectional, meaning they can be screwed in, but the design of the head has a smooth surface (rather than a flat edge) so a screwdriver can't get them out. I attached the panel to a post in the wall to make it very secure. I found the included screws to be a bit short, so for added security I recommend purchasing additional longer unidirectional screws to go deeper into the wall stud. The bottom line is that they are doing their job. It could be better with longer screws and designed so that the swivel doesn't make any noise when moving.
