I bought this to replace the magnetic base I've had on my dash since I bought a new iPhone 12 mini and wanted to use the Qi charging capabilities. I put this on the air vents on my Lexus SUV. The position is a little awkward because that's where my right hand normally rests on the steering wheel and I thought my hand would be blocking my view, but I had no trouble seeing my phone's screen. The magnets aren't as strong as my old base which required you to attach a metal plate to the phone but my iPhone 12 mini has never been dropped so I'm sure the magnets are good enough. It's important to note that I purchased an Apple iPhone case that had a built-in magnetic ring. I wouldn't dare wear this if I had a regular case on my phone. Nothing to say about charging, it charges while plugged in. I wouldn't say it's noticeably faster or slower than my home chargers.
