I'm quite a picky customer. This ladder measures. Any ladder you buy is not designed for comfortable barefoot climbing. But you don't want it to be painful either. These stairs are very well made and have reasonable step sizes to make it easy to get on and off. I have children aged 9, 12 and 14. They fly up and down the stairs. I use it myself (45 years old, 145 pounds) with no problems. Nylon straps worn on the top hooks of the ladder protect the metal of the ladder and trampoline frame. The nylon straps tend to slip at times, but that's no reason to deduct a star from a product rating. The angle of the stairs looks very natural and makes climbing easier. Highly recommended.
