Tiny, versatile, (pretty) powerful

This really is an invaluable addition to my portable lighting setup. I cannot overestimate this light; The fact that it delivers 500 full-power shots on a single charge, has an ultra-fast recharge time, and offers the flexibility of both a bare bulb and a high-power flash head in a compact body is pretty impressive. That it does all of these things with a $300 internal lithium-ion battery is amazing. Likewise, the ability to provide high-speed sync (HSS) made it easy to capture beautiful wide-open aperture flash shots during the day. (It's really multifunctional.) Anyway, I was very satisfied with using this flashlight. My first walk with him was actually for a prom photo booth; I mixed this light with another lower wattage flash for a bit of dramatic lighting (a 30 inch beauty dish with a diffuser on the shower cover) and it proved a champion with over 300 shots, although the battery indicator didn't ran out of. Sure, shots ranged from 1/16 to 1/4 power, but I've also used it outdoors at 1/1 and the battery life is still pretty solid; I haven't hit 500 full power shots yet, but that doesn't seem far fetched given what I've experienced so far. Additionally, the lack of battery cables and a more compact form factor (compared to older Godox AD180/360 models) make this flashlight a dream to install. One small note I have (and it is very small) is that due to its thickness it shrinks a bit to fit this light in the Bowens mount. It fits, however, just with a bit more refinement than I'd like. All in all nothing to complain about. The overwhelmingly positive YouTube reviews for this light make sense and any portrait photographer should be happy with the features and performance of this flash. Now if only Godox could offer an HSS enabled flash trigger that works for Fuji and Olympus so I could stop manipulating trigger decisions I would be really thrilled!
