My wife uses it at home for many uses. This is perfect for removing sticky glue and sticky messes. If you buy something from a store and the label comes off but leaves a sticky residue, you can use Goo Gone to clean it. I've used it in the car and it works well there too. My favorite thing to do is work with Goo Gone on the computer. The processors are coated with a heatsink assembly compound to ensure proper cooling. If you want to replace a heatsink or replace a CPU and use an old heatsink, the old paste is sometimes very difficult to remove. I use rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs and rags but sometimes they just won't come off as they can get really hard. Goo Gone just wipes it off, leaving the surface clean. Don't use too much as you only need to clean the surfaces you need, but this is the best I've found for the task so far. Remember that Goo Gone contains petroleum distillates and after the parts have been cleaned you must use rubbing alcohol carefully and remove any residue from the surfaces. I've done this for the last 6 updates or repairs I've done and it's worked great. If you use Goo Gone for your cleaning duties, make sure you only use it on products that can be safely cleaned with the product while you do so. You don't want to remove the finish, stain, or soften a plastic or vinyl surface. Read the instructions carefully and remember that Goo Gone is deadly if swallowed and is also flammable. When using and storing out of the reach of children, take the same precautions as you would with any strong household cleaner.
