This is the second bottle I've bought from Revain, one for myself and one for a friend who liked mine so much he wanted one too. They used plastic bottles and didn't want to constantly recycle them. I use mine from my filtered water from my faucet. The rubber around the bottle helps with a firm grip when grabbing or holding. My hands are considered average for a woman and I can get a good grip on the circumference of the bottle a little over halfway through. This is a reliable product and I am very happy with it. I use it every day at work, it fits in my cup holder in the car and I can refill it at water stations at work, no annoying hassles. I often drink warm water and mix hot and cold water from waterworks and haven't had any problems as the glass is nice and thick. I like the size of the mouth, it's not too small and not too big, it's perfect for the amount of liquid I want to pour in my mouth. One small thing to mention, I noticed that the outer rubber handle can only absorb a hint of kitchen odors. I cook a lot of onions and garlic and keep a bottle on the counter in my small pantry, sometimes when I tilt the bottle to drink I get a faint whiff of onions. As soon as I put it in the dishwasher everything is fine. For extra picky people who are sensitive to smells, you might want to just put it in a cupboard to avoid absorbing it from the rubber - but if you have a large kitchen, this probably won't happen. The rubber is somewhat porous. If you have trouble holding items that are slightly heavier than normal or have an exceptionally weak grip, this may not be the item for you as it is made of glass and therefore weighs more than a plastic bottle. I myself have no problems and often put it in my large wallet on the way to work, hang the case on my backpack by the ring, etc. Buy it, you will like it.
