This is NOT a fake. These are handed out by dentists to their patients and are almost impossible to find. My hygienist gave me one the last time I went to the cleaners. She said they were good because they were very soft so they didn't hurt the gums and allowed for gum massage and full coverage. This isn't a short compact head, it's a slim one. The slim style makes it easy to get to back teeth and get good work done in an area that's often neglected. With a longer head, you can cover a larger area in less time. Brushing my teeth has become easier and my teeth seem cleaner after using them. I'm glad I was finally able to track her down. I'm not sure why some people have quality issues. Mine were perfect. I think if you try to scrub too hard with them you can damage the bristles and shorten their lifespan. But the key is to brush gently and let the brush do the work for you. So with normal use these are the perfect and best toothbrushes I have ever had.
