I bought this to replace a Sabrent that has stopped working for half of my hard drives. I could tell right away that this power cord was shorter. First, it was much shorter and I had to plug it into an extension cord. In addition, the plug is very large and not suitable for connecting to an extension cord. It also doesn't have an (inverter) which I think means it's smaller? My sub also had little buttons to press to eject the discs, it doesn't. You need to take out the discs. After all, you can't swap hot-swap drives. By that I mean you can't add a drive when the device is powered on. You have to turn it off, replace the drives, and then turn it on again. Therefore, before inserting a disc, make sure the device is turned off, then insert discs and turn it on. It's annoying when I'm doing backups in a row, I have to turn the device off and on multiple times. Actually, finally, and I suspect it's a problem with hard drives, not with this device, but with normal SATA hard drives. able to claw 95MB/s despite this thing being advertised as 6Gb/s. Again, I think this is a limitation of hard drives, but be careful. I think you need to hook up an SDD to approach those speeds?
