This is a beautiful garland with many different settings. It's a little tricky to set up and I don't really plan on putting them away for storage, but they look pretty good. They are rolled up with all the individual strands and the end is tucked around the curl to hold it together. This is good because you don't have to search for zip ties or anything to twist them together. On the other hand, this means that you have to untwist every single strand to straighten them. It takes a little while, but it's easy enough to do. I suppose you just roll them all back up to store the thread when not in use, but I don't think that would be much fun. While I don't really think there's an easier way to do this, I don't have any suggestions for improvement. It's just something to keep in mind, but that shouldn't stop you from using them. There is about a 1 foot gap between each thread. I think it still looks pretty good hanging and the light is bright enough that you don't necessarily need more strands. If I'm feeling ambitious I can try hanging each hook a little closer together to see if I can get them a little closer because it's all a bit more than I need for the space I'm using anyway. This leaves a few extra wires in the bundle at the top, but I think I can handle that quite well. The lights come with hooks on the top wire, convenient to hang. I also like that the strands can hold together just by twisting them. It came in handy when a few threads got to my vent. I managed to roll them up a bit so they don't get in the way. The lights connect via USB, so you'll need to place them where you have access to a USB port. The remote works well as long as you point it near an outlet. It's easy to choose which lighting setting you want to use. Each setting has a number. So if you remember which one you like, you can easily go back there. It also has the option of making the light brighter or dimmer. This gives you a slight change, but I don't think it makes a huge difference between the darkest and lightest values. The lights themselves are bright and colorful. In general I am satisfied with this product.
