If you're an elderly person like me who is used to the superior softness and comfort of the legendary Hush Puppy, you might be disappointed in these shoes. The description says "leather". I've now spent about 15 years of my young life running shoe shops and leather has a distinctive smell, especially when you first open the box. Shoes without markings. Nylon footbed over foam. The sole is cast on plastic. Fit is good so far. I am very disappointed in the product but will keep and wear it. In my opinion this is seriously overpriced for the quality when the shoes are man made. SUPPLEMENT: I've been wearing them for several days and many hours. THESE ARE NOT LEATHER SHOES AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A BREAK-IN SO DON'T EXPECT THEM TO "STRETCH". I COULD DO THE SAME AT WALMART. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT! PLASTIC SHOES! NO, I WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN!
