Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ STM Dux Shell, Slim Case for Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Generation) with Apple Keyboard Folio Support - Black (stm-222-221L-01) by Erin Buck

It's durable. that's all.

This is a sturdy case but I think if you want that kind of durability you can also get a case in the otter or unicorn design -Beetle style with a portable Bluetooth keyboard because the compromises made in this case to be rigid but compatible with the Apple Smart Keyboard are too great.1. Every time you want to use the keyboard, you have to use your thumbs and pull the corners of the iPad out of the case. This is quite difficult and far from elegant.2. The iPad actually slides down when tilted to allow the keyboard to be used in a more relaxed position. This leads to several things: A. The camera ridge presses lightly but not nicely against the smart cover and case because the iPad wants to slide out of the case but the camera ridge hugs it with all its might. The power and volume buttons become less sensitive because they barely touch the buttons on the case due to the iPad slipping. C. Packing an iPad is really tricky because now you not only have to reposition the corners of the case on the iPad, you also have to press the iPad + smart cover against the stylus side of the case first. It is not easy.

Pros
  • Slim and light design accentuates the form factor of the iPad Pro while providing excellent protection
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
