Overall I am happy with this adapter and it has met my needs so far. I have this thing for the 4 SATA drives I have. . Two of these are from former external USB enclosures before the USB parts died. Two old 250GB desktop hard drives. So far he has read them all well. I didn't test the USB hub part too much, but while testing a SATA drive that I already knew was bad, I connected two flash drives to the USB hub. He read them well. It usually reads a bad SATA drive until the drive itself dies completely. The drive and adapter survived almost 10 hours of chkdsk scanning and rescanning bad sectors, but when I tried to delete some files on this drive, the drive gave up and Windows couldn't even properly recognize it. The death and failure of the drive has nothing to do with the adapter. I was happy that it worked for 10 hours without any problems. The plastic on the adapter itself feels very fragile and light. I think a heavier plastic would be a good choice for durability for many inserts, but for now it will work. If the connector itself connects to the drive on the cable, it's probably more convenient to plug in, but then you'll need something to release them on the back of the cables. So far there are no problems.
