Review on πŸ”₯ Enhanced SEO: Barocook Flameless Rectangular Cookware System by Edgar Rowe

Good, but not great in a pinch

This flameless mug heats liquids and works on the same principle as the MRE heater. I thought the idea was clever and had multiple uses in mind when ordering. After trying it out a few times, I feel like it's not particularly user-friendly and that its shortcomings are likely to limit its use in emergencies. As other reviewers have noted, it doesn't have a water fill line, which allows it to overfill, which in turn can be a hazard. It can only be used outdoors or in very well ventilated areas as the chemical reaction that produces heat also liberates a gas (hydrogen gas I believe which is highly flammable/explosive). The design leaves a lot to be desired in that it's not that hard to burn yourself on the boiling liquid, especially if you've never used it and don't know how it works. Also, the fuel packs for this cup are prohibitively expensive for regular use. I'm kind of putting this product in the same category as these NASA space emergency blankets, it's a great idea and probably good to have in a pinch, but it wouldn't be my first or second choice if I had other options. That jar is now in a box with other emergency gear, like a flint starter, water purification tablets, and NASA space blankets. Bottom line: if you need to heat liquids and there is no other way, this will work. however, this is not inexpensive and not particularly convenient to use.
